It's not the same meter, but it gave me vibes of Miss Bridie Chose a Shovel (which I read to the kids a lot and loved the rhythm of, but also made me cry everytime)

It almost feels like it reads best in tetrameter, splitting the lines in two. And screaming for a rhyme.
