The STSC Symposium is a monthly set-theme collaboration between STSC writers, and the theme for December, as it was last December, is FICTION. I did not contribute to last year’s symposium, because the theme of fiction is difficult in the medium I write this newsletter in. What is fiction, in a poem? And how to have the mechanical framework, in fourteen lines? Poets are notorious liars, but the line of lie/fiction is more stark than I think.
This year I decided to just forget that, and followed the first line that popped into my head, putting together an oldie but a goodie of a story, in verse. I hope it brings joy.
Another poor bastard undone by hope. What fun. thanks
