I began this newsletter as a way to respond to current events. I’ve been watching how my 8 year old lifts his head when the radio begins talking about Minnesota, and how carefully he listens to it. He’s a smart kid, and has a question for everything, so I’m not surprised when he asks me why the president likes it when people are killed. I answer he probably doesn’t like it ( I dismiss, to simplify things, that I feel this is false ). Then he asks, “then why does he let it happen?”
